After captivating more than a million guests in Bordeaux, Paris and Lille, LUMINISCENCE continues its tour and settles in the heart of San Sebastian for a series of exceptional dates in the emblematic San Sebastian Cathedral. For the first time, experience a show where history, video mapping and 360° music unite to reveal this building as you have never seen it before. The light projections extend the cathedral, revealing with finesse every architectural detail, from its imposing base to the top of its towers rising over 20 meters high.

Luminiscence: The Monument

Cathedral El Buen Pastor

The Cathedral of El Buen Pastor in San Sebastián, inaugurated in 1897, is the city's main religious building. Inspired by the neo-Gothic style, it stands out with its 75-meter tall spire and colorful stained glass windows that fill the interior with light. Designed by Basque architect Manuel de Echave, it was built using local stone. Located in the heart of San Sebastián, it symbolizes the urban growth of the late 19th century. Still active today, it hosts masses, concerts, and religious events, embodying the spiritual and architectural heritage of the capital of Gipuzkoa.

What does the experience consist of?

By combining 360-degree video mapping and live music, LUMINISCENCE offers you an immersive dive into the heart of the history of San Sebastian Cathedral.

How long does it last?

The experience lasts approximately 60 minutes.

Where will it take place?

The experience takes place inside San Sebastian Cathedral, Plaza de la Constitución, 20003 San Sebastián.

What time should I arrive?

Doors open 20 minutes before the time indicated on your ticket. Late arrivals will not be accepted.

Is there a minimum age to participate?

There is no minimum age: children aged 4 and under are allowed if seated on an adult’s lap.

In what language is the show performed?

The narration is in Spanish. However, thanks to the immersive visual mapping and live music, the show can be fully enjoyed even by non-Spanish speakers.

Is seating available?

Yes, once the walk-through ends, you will be invited to sit in the nave and enjoy the show.

Can I take photos or videos during the experience?

Yes, you can take photos and record videos as long as the flash is turned off. However, professional cameras or those with telephoto lenses are not allowed.

Is it hot in the cathedral?

In the summer season, the cathedral can retain heat, especially during high outdoor temperatures. We recommend bringing a fan and staying hydrated before your visit.
