The nave: a seated 360-degree immersive experience

Take a comfortable seat in the nave, look up, and let the voice of the basilica’s spirit guardian guide you through a timeless journey. This 360-degree experience combines history, video mapping, and 3D spatialized live music to unveil the legend of this sacred site.

Act 1: The Rise of a Chimera From a modest chapel outside the city walls to one of the kingdom’s most prominent abbeys, the Basilica of Saint-Remi was built over the centuries, a masterpiece blending the sturdiness of Romanesque architecture with the poetic elegance of Gothic style.

Act 2: Lights and Radiance The magnificence of its stained glass, the splendor of royal coronations, and the legend of Saint Remi continue to make the stones of the basilica shine, a luminous legacy of a sacred destiny.

Act 3: The Echo of Ages A millennium of chants and music still resonates beneath these vaults, whose reverberations invite visitors on a journey through time.

Act 4: Eternalizing Nearly entirely destroyed during World War I, the Basilica of Saint-Remi was resurrected and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, a symbol of resilience and eternal beauty.

Each Friday and Saturday, the heavenly voices of one of the region’s most talented choirs, directed by their conductor, bring the LUMINISCENCE soundtrack to life. An innovative 3D sound spatialization system allows the notes, voices, and percussion to travel throughout the basilica, offering the seated audience an unparalleled auditory immersion.

Basilica of Saint-Remi

Its Story: The Basilica of Saint-Remi in Reims, built in the 11th and 12th centuries, is one of the largest Romanesque structures in France, with later Gothic additions. It houses the relics of Saint Remi, the bishop who baptized Clovis in 496. Damaged during World War I, it was restored to its former glory and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Still an active place of worship, it stands as a spiritual and architectural symbol of Reims' heritage.

What can I expect from the event?

With 360-degree video mapping and live music, LUMINISCENCE takes you on an immersive journey into the history of the Basilica of Saint-Remi in Reims. The music reverberates beautifully throughout this sacred space as projections light up the walls and bring them to life, highlighting the basilica’s architectural beauty. This breathtaking audiovisual spectacle reveals the basilica secrets, exposing the architectural craftsmanship of its builders, its spellbinding light effects, and its extraordinary acoustics.

How long does it last?

The experience lasts around 60 minutes. It consists of an immersive journey through the basilica's ambulatory, followed by a seated show in the nave.

Where will it take place?

The experience will take place inside the Basilica of Saint-Remi, Place du Chanoine Ladame, 51100, Reims.

What time should I arrive at the experience?

The doors will open 20 minutes before the time indicated on the ticket. No late arrivals will be accepted.

Is there an age requirement?

The experience is open to all ages, but children under 4 years of age must be seated on an adult's lap. Children over 4 must have a ticket.

Is it possible to sit down?

Yes. Once the walk is over, you'll be invited to sit down in the nave to enjoy the show.

Is it possible to take photos or film videos during the experience?

Yes, you can take photos and film videos with your camera's flash switched off. However, cameras with telephoto lenses are prohibited.

Is it possible to eat on-site?

It is not possible to purchase food and drinks or eat inside.

Will there be toilets on site?

No, but there are public toilets nearby.

Is there a cloakroom on site?

No, there are no cloakrooms for public use. As the basilica is not heated, we recommend you keep your outdoor clothes with you.

Can I bring my dog?

Except for guide dogs, animals are not allowed.

Is it suitable for people with epilepsy?

The show contains flashing and/or strobe lights that may affect sensitive individuals.

Can I get to the experience by public transport?

The basilica is accessible via public transport:

Is the space accessible to PRMs?

Yes, the basilica is accessible to people with reduced mobility. If you are in a wheelchair, our team will help you easily navigate your wheelchair to the seating area.

Can I leave and return to the event?

No, all exits are final. Remember to use the toilet outside the basilica before the show starts.

Will it be possible to buy a ticket on site?

Depending on the number of places remaining at each event, it may be possible to buy a ticket on site.

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets will be available to purchase on the Fever website from July 11. Tickets can also be purchased via the Fever app, available on Google Play and Apple Store.

Can I change the date of my ticket? Are refunds allowed?

This experience allows ticket cancellations up to 72 hours in advance. You can also exchange your ticket up to 7 hours before the event.

In the "Tickets" section of the Fever app, the "Change date and/or time" button will appear. Follow the steps provided in the link to modify your ticket’s date and/or time.

You can also contact us, including the ticket ID associated with your purchase.

Are tickets valid for other event dates?

Tickets can be exchanged up to 72 hours before the event. Contact Fever customer service.

Do I need to print my ticket?

There's no need to print out your ticket. You just need to show the PDF document on your phone at the entrance to the hall so that staff can validate the code.

I can't find my ticket. What can I do?

You will receive your ticket in PDF format by email after purchase. You can also download it from the 'Tickets' section of the Fever app. If you haven't already installed it, you can download it from the Apple Store or Google Play. Don't forget to log in using the same account you used to purchase the tickets. If you are still unable to locate your ticket , please contact us.

How can I get an invoice?
