The Stage of the Grand Show:
Catedral da Sé de São Paulo

Guarding the Ground Zero of one of the most important cities in the world stands the Metropolitan Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption and Saint Paul.

The Catedral da Sé de São Paulo, as it is commonly known, is a Gothic masterpiece designed by Professor Maximilian Hehl of the Polytechnic School. Stretching 111 meters long, 46 meters wide, and 65 meters high (not including its towers), the monument features mosaics created by renowned Italian artists, dazzling stained glass windows, one of the largest bell carillons in Brazil with 61 pieces, a baptistery, chapel, and many other architectural elements that make it the 5th largest Catholic church in Brazil and a landmark of culture, faith, and architecture.

Since its inauguration (1954) to the present day, the Catedral da Sé de São Paulo has served as the seat of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of São Paulo.

The Cathedral is, without a doubt, a must-see destination for anyone who loves to connect with art, soul, and history.

About the Experience

What does the experience entail? The attraction is a sensory experience that combines light projections and a symphonic soundtrack — with orchestra and choir — transforming historical monuments into true artistic stages. An international cultural phenomenon, Luminiscence has already been presented in cathedrals and basilicas in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, and the United States.
How long does it last? The experience lasts approximately 50 minutes.
Where will it take place? The event will take place at the Catedral da Sé de São Paulo, at Praça da Sé, s/n, Centro.
When should you arrive? The doors will close promptly at the session start time. We recommend arriving 30 minutes in advance.
Will other sessions be added? Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that new dates will be added. Please check the event page for information on availability, dates, and confirmed times.
Is there an age requirement to take part in the experiment? The experience is accessible to everyone. Children under 2 years old may attend on an adult’s lap. Above that age, a ticket is required.
Is it possible to sit down? The venue has capacity to accommodate all guests, who must remain seated throughout the entire experience.
Is it possible to take photos or film during the experiment? Yes, photos and videos are allowed as long as flash is turned off. Cameras and camcorders with detachable lenses are not permitted.
Is it possible to buy food and drink on site? No.
Will there be toilets on site? No, there will be no accessible restrooms on-site.
Is there a changing room on site? No, there is no cloakroom available for the public.

Can I get to the experience by public transport?

Yes, the cathedral is accessible by public transport: 

Metro: Sé Station (Lines 1–Blue and 3–Red) Bus: Nearby stops include Parada 3 – Rua Senador Feijó, Praça Dr. João Mendes, and several bus lines such as 475R-10, 5300-10, 5632-10/21/51, 407N-10, and 4113-10.
Is the space accessible to PRMs?

Yes, the cathedral is accessible. If you are in a wheelchair, our team will help replace a seat to facilitate your access.

There is prepared infrastructure for accessibility. Our team assists to ensure safe and comfortable accommodation.
Can I leave and return to the event? No, all exits are final.
Prohibited items:

In accordance with current Brazilian legislation, the entry and presence of individuals carrying the following items is prohibited:

  • Firearms of any kind, caliber, or model, even if registered, legalized, or carried with a permit, except in cases expressly authorized by law and by the theater administration
  • Ammunition, explosives, incendiary devices, or controlled-use materials, as defined by Law No. 10,826/2003
  • Bladed weapons, including knives, pocket knives, daggers, stilettos, blades, or any sharp or blunt objects that may pose a risk to physical safety
  • Replicas, simulacra, or objects resembling firearms, in accordance with legal restrictions and security regulations for venues with large public gatherings

The organizers reserve the right to deny access, request removal from the premises, and contact the appropriate authorities when necessary, in order to ensure the safety of the public, artists, and staff.
Is there a parking available on site? No, unfortunately, parking is not available.

Tickets

Will it be possible to buy a ticket on site? Depending on session availability, a limited number of tickets may be sold at the venue.
Where can I buy tickets? Ticketing will be available online on Fever. Tickets can also be purchased via the Fever mobile app, available on Android and iOS.
Are refunds allowed? What is the exchange policy?

You may change the date and/or time up to 7 hours before the event via the Fever app in the “Tickets” section by clicking “Change date and/or time.”

Tickets are non-refundable, except in cases of force majeure, up to 72 hours before the event. Contact Fever support for requests.
Are tickets valid for other event dates? Tickets can be exchanged up to 7 hours before the event through Fever support.
Do I need to print my ticket? There's no need to print out your ticket. It is possible to show the PDF document at the entrance to the hall so that staff can validate the code.
I can't find my ticket. What can I do?

You will receive the ticket PDF by email after purchase. You can also download it in the “Tickets” section of the Fever app. If you don’t have the app, download it from the Apple Store or Google Play and log in with the account used for purchase.

Can I attend an event on a date not listed in the calendar?

Only the dates shown on the calendar are available for sale. Additional dates may be added later.

If no dates are currently available, you can join the waitlist to be notified when new sessions open.
How can I use a coupon?

Currently, coupons can only be used from the Fever app (you can download it on Android or iOS). Follow the instructions below to redeem your coupon.

To use a coupon during your purchase:

  1. Open the Fever application and log in with your usual login method (email, Facebook, Gmail or Apple ID).
  2. Go to the experience you want, choose the date and time, select the number of tickets and click on "Buy".
  3. You'll see the "Apply coupon" option. Click on it: the list of your coupons will appear.
  4. Select the coupon you wish to use (maximum one coupon per purchase) then click on "Apply coupon". A discount will be applied to the total amount of your purchase.
    • If a coupon appears as "unavailable", it means that this experience does not accept this coupon.
    • If you have a coupon code, click on "Add coupon" and enter it.
  5. Click on "Buy" and voilà! You'll find your new ticket(s) in the "Tickets" section of the application.

- If you have a VIP coupon, you can use it on all Fever experiences!
