One is visited, the other is recited. Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis, a monument of stone, has stood as a guardian of four centuries of Le Marais history. Victor Hugo, a towering figure of French literature, once lived just a stone's throw away. But behind the façades and great literary works lie stories told only in whispers: a poet and his daughter, weddings and barricades, memories that time cannot erase.

Through breathtaking architectural projections, a live choir and intimate storytelling, these two monuments reveal their stories over the course of an unforgettable show, brought to life by the voice of André Dussollier.

THE SHOW’S PROGRAM

Part One – The Immersive Walkthrough

Before taking their seats, guests are invited to wander freely through the nave, immersed in a captivating and contemplative atmosphere. Subtle lighting effects transform the space, while live vocal performances and music by soloists accompany this exploration.

Duration: Approximately 20 minutes

Part Two – The Story of Two Monuments

Make yourself comfortable beneath the sacred vaults and embark on a journey through 14 centuries of history. Let yourself be guided by the poetic narration of one of the greatest figures in French literature, whose personal memories intertwine with those of this sacred landmark.

The Monument:
Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis Church

In the heart of Le Marais, on Rue Saint-Antoine, Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis Church has stood since the 17th century as one of Paris's earliest great examples of Baroque architecture.

Commissioned by the Jesuits and placed under the patronage of Louis XIII, who laid its foundation stone in 1627, the church was completed in 1641. Its monumental façade and dome, rising approximately 55 metres high, anticipated the grand domes that would later dominate the Parisian skyline.

Its bright, spacious interior bears witness to a rich history. The hearts of Louis XIII and Louis XIV were preserved here until the French Revolution, Marc-Antoine Charpentier served as music director, and Victor Hugo, who lived near Place des Vosges, donated the two shell-shaped holy water fonts that still welcome visitors today. The church is also home to Eugène Delacroix's Christ in the Garden of Olives.

Today, it remains an active place of worship, where architecture, music and light continue to come together.

About the Experience

What does the experience entail? Combining 360° video mapping and live music, LUMINISCENCE takes you on an immersive journey through the history of Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis Church in Paris. Following a hugely successful tour of some of the world's most beautiful cathedrals, captivating over 2 million visitors, LUMINISCENCE returns to unveil its brand-new show.
How long does it last? The experience lasts approximately 60 minutes. It begins with an immersive walkthrough of the church's ambulatory, followed by a seated show in the nave.
Where will it take place? The experience takes place inside Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis Church, 99 Rue Saint-Antoine, 75004 Paris.
When should you arrive? We recommend arriving 10 minutes before the time indicated on your ticket to enjoy the immersive light installations in the ambulatory before taking your seat in the nave for the show.
Is there an age requirement to take part in the experiment? The experience is open to all, with children of 2 years of age and under sitting on an adult's lap. Above this age, children must have a ticket.
Is it possible to sit down? Yes. Once the immersive walkthrough is complete, you will be invited to take a seat in the nave to enjoy the show.
Is it possible to take photos or film during the experiment? Yes, you can take photos and videos with your camera's flash switched off. However, cameras with telephoto lenses are prohibited.
Is it possible to buy food and drink on site? No, food and drinks are not available for purchase on-site.
Will there be toilets on site? No, we invite you to use the closest public toilets
Is there a checkroom on site? No, there are no toilets available on-site. We recommend using the nearest public toilets before arriving.
Can I bring my dog ? Only guide dogs are permitted. Other animals are not allowed.

Tickets

Will it be possible to buy a ticket on site? Depending on the number of places remaining at our sessions, a quota of places may be available for sale on site. We recommend online booking.
Can I transfer my tickets to another person? Yes, you can transfer your tickets to anyone for free. It is as easy as clicking "Transfer Tickets" on your ticket in the Fever App. Please contact us if you need additional help. Make sure to include your ticket order number.
Where can I buy tickets? Ticketing will be available online on Fever. Tickets can also be purchased via the Fever mobile app, available on Android and iOS.
Are refunds allowed? What is the exchange policy? Tickets are unfortunately non-refundable, except in cases of force majeure, 72 hours before the event. They can be exchanged up to 7 hours before the event.
Are tickets valid for other event dates? Your tickets are only valid for the selected session, but tickets can be exchanged up to 7 hours before the event. To do so, contact Fever customer service.
Do I need to print my ticket?

You will receive your ticket in PDF format by email after purchase. You can also access it in the "Tickets" section of the Fever mobile app.

If you haven't installed the app yet, you can download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Make sure to log in using the same account you used to purchase your tickets.

Can I attend an event on a date not listed in the calendar? The dates shown on the calendar are the only ones available for purchase. Other dates may be added at a later date. Once added, they will appear on the calendar. If no dates are available but the event has a waiting list, you can sign up to be notified when new dates become available.
How can I use a coupon? Currently, coupons can only be used from the Fever app (you can download it on Android or iOS). Follow the instructions below to redeem your coupon. To use a coupon during your purchase:
  1. Open the Fever application and log in with your usual login method (email, Facebook, Gmail or Apple ID).
  2. Go to the experience you want, choose the date and time, select the number of tickets and click on "Buy".
  3. You'll see the "Apply coupon" option. Click on it: the list of your coupons will appear.
  4. Select the coupon you wish to use (maximum one coupon per purchase) then click on "Apply coupon". A discount will be applied to the total amount of your purchase. - If a coupon appears as "unavailable", it means that this experience does not accept this coupon. - If you have a coupon code, click on "Add coupon" and enter it.
  5. Click on "Buy" and voilà! You'll find your new ticket(s) in the "Tickets" section of the application. Please note: - For your coupons to appear on your profile, it is important that you log in using the same connection method you used when you received the coupon. - If you have a VIP coupon, you can use it on all Fever experiences! - Remember to check the characteristics of your coupons and their expiry date by clicking on them.
