Part One – The Immersive Walkthrough

Before taking their seats, the audience is invited to wander freely through the nave, immersed in a sensitive and contemplative atmosphere. Subtle lighting effects sculpt the space, while the voices and music of live soloists accompany this exploration.

Their instruments—rare and captivating in tone, such as the handpan or the theremin—along with other distinctive sound textures, gradually establish the world of the performance, open the narrative, and prepare the senses for the journey ahead.

Part Two – The New 360° Immersive Show: The Celestial Odyssey

Sit back beneath the sacred vaults and embark on a journey through the legend of the City of Light. From its Roman origins to the cultural radiance that continues to illuminate our era, and on to the vision of the city of tomorrow, let yourself be carried on a celestial odyssey—toward infinity… and beyond.

For this new edition, the staging is enhanced by an original and spectacular lighting creation: the Nimbus. A giant, interactive circle of light nearly 3 meters in diameter, installed at the center of the church choir. The Nimbus delivers an augmented mapping experience that complements the 360° projections, integrating visual effects and optical illusions in perfect synchronization with the live performances.

Part Three – The Power of a Live Choir

Each evening, the celestial voices of the Les Solistes de Saint-Eustache choir—heirs to more than 350 years of musical tradition—unleash their full power to accompany the show’s original soundtrack. This score brings into dialogue the great composers of classical music: Erik Satie, Johann Sebastian Bach, Claude Debussy, Giuseppe Verdi, and others.

Thanks to an innovative sound system designed to enhance the building’s exceptional acoustics and deployed all around the audience, music becomes matter, movement, and emotion.

The Monument:
Saint-Eustache Church – Paris

Located in the heart of the Les Halles district, Saint-Eustache Church stands as one of Paris’s most remarkable landmarks. Built between the 16th and 17th centuries, it blends the soaring ambition of Flamboyant Gothic with the refined details of the Renaissance, creating a unique silhouette in the Parisian landscape.

Over the centuries, Saint-Eustache has witnessed major moments in the capital’s history: the baptism of Richelieu, the first communion of Louis XIV, the funeral of La Fontaine, and many other significant events.

Its monumental organ—one of the most powerful in Europe—has made it a privileged venue for concerts and musical creations.

Organizer's words

“With this second show, LUMINISCENCE continues the same mission that has driven it from the very beginning: to reveal the emotional power of heritage through an artistic, immersive experience that is accessible to everyone. The Celestial Odyssey is part of the same vision: bringing sacred spaces to life by opening them to a new form of storytelling that reaches all generations, all cultures, all sensibilities. We believe that heritage should not only be seen, but felt. Through light, sound, and narration, we hope to offer each person a suspended moment — intimate, universal — a fresh perspective on monuments steeped in history and memory.”
