Nestled in the heart of the Quartier des Cordeliers, Basilique Saint-Bonaventure is one of the most emblematic historic monuments in central Lyon. Built in the 13th century by the Franciscans, it has witnessed the rhythm of the city's greatest transformations across the ages.
A witness to several centuries of Lyonnaise history, the basilica has seen merchants, pilgrims and great local figures pass through its doors, long considered one of Lyon's most beloved landmarks.
Its soaring Gothic vaults, natural light effects and history-laden architecture make Saint-Bonaventure a truly unique space — where heritage, emotion and monumentality converge.
