Part One - An immersive walk accompanied by the notes of an exceptional soloist

Before taking their seats in the nave, visitors are invited to wander freely and explore the cathedral. Along the way, the side chapels come alive with immersive lighting, elevated by the notes of an exceptional soloist.

Part two - The new 360° immersive show: The Celestial Odyssey - La Treille

Step inside the vaults of Notre-Dame de la Treille and travel through nine centuries of an extraordinary story. From the medieval marshes of Vieux-Lille, interrupted by wars, to the audacious inauguration of 1999, the monument becomes a living stage carried by immersive narration, light and live music.

In this entirely brand-new creation, stone comes to life through next-generation projection technologies, with unprecedented precision and depth. Before your eyes, the centuries come alive again in an odyssey where ambition, resilience and light are one.

The Monument:
Notre-Dame de la Treille Cathedral – Lille

In the heart of Vieux-Lille, Cathédrale Notre-Dame de la Treille is one of the most singular monuments in French heritage. Construction began in 1854 in a neo-Gothic spirit, yet it was only completed in 1999 with a bold contemporary facade. It owes its name to a miraculous limestone Virgin from the 11th century, before which Louis IX, Charles Quint and d'Artagnan once knelt. Funded by the great industrialists of Lille, shaped by wars, and left unfinished for 150 years, Notre-Dame de la Treille embodies the resilience of an entire city. Its neo-Gothic vaults, Art Nouveau-influenced stained glass windows and its 7,600-pipe organ give the space an atmosphere that is at once majestic and intimate.

About the Experience

What does the experience entail? A 360° video mapping and live music experience — LUMINESCENCE — offering an immersive dive into the history of the Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-la-Treille in Lille. After a triumphant tour of France's most beautiful cathedrals and over 2,000,000 captivated spectators, LUMINESCENCE returns to unveil its brand-new show, l'Odyssée Céleste. This time, something has changed: an ancient breath moves through the nave, the walls come alive with starry frescoes. A unique sensory journey where light and sound reveal what has made this cathedral's heart beat for centuries.
How long does it last? The experience lasts approximately 60 minutes. It consists of an immersive walk through the cathedral's ambulatory, followed by a seated show in the nave.
Where will it take place? Inside the Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-la-Treille, Pl. Gilleson, 59800 Lille.
When should you arrive? It is recommended to arrive 10 minutes before the time shown on your ticket to enjoy the light walk through the ambulatory before taking your seat in the nave for the show.
Is there an age requirement to take part in the experiment? The experience is open to all, with children of 2 years of age and under sitting on an adult's lap. Above this age, children must have a ticket.
Is it possible to sit down? Yes. Once the walking section is complete, you will be invited to sit in the nave to enjoy the show.
Is it possible to take photos or film during the experiment? Yes, you can take photos and videos with your camera's flash switched off. However, cameras with telephoto lenses are prohibited.
Is it possible to buy food and drink on site? No, that will not be possible.
Will there be toilets on site? No, we invite you to use the closest public toilets
Is there a checkroom on site? No, there is no public cloakroom. The cathedral is not heated — it is recommended to keep your outer garments with you.
Can I bring my dog? Only guide dogs are allowed; other animals are not permitted.
Is the experience accessible to non-French speakers? The show is narrated in French, but the video mapping and music allow everyone to enjoy the experience regardless of language.

Is the space accessible to PRMs? Yes. If you use a wheelchair, our team will help substitute a seat so you can position your wheelchair easily. A lift is also available to access the steps at the entrance.
Can I leave and return to the event? No — all exits are final. Please use the toilets outside the cathedral before the show begins.

Will it be possible to buy a ticket on site? Depending on remaining capacity, a limited number of tickets may be available for purchase on site.
Where can I buy tickets? Tickets will be available online on Fever from July 2026. You can also purchase through the Fever app, available on Google Play and the App Store.
Are tickets valid for other event dates? Your tickets are only valid for the selected session, but tickets can be exchanged up to 7 hours before the event. To do so, contact Fever customer service.
Do I need to print my ticket? There's no need to print out your ticket. It is possible to show the PDF document, Fever app or email confirmation at the entrance to the hall so that staff can validate the code.
